Madrid
A bustling capital city filled with famous masterpieces and majestic architecture
I flew into Madrid for my abroad trip and was able to stay a couple days in the nation's capital. Madrid reminded me a lot of New York City because of the metropolitan vibe yet has it's own feel because it is rich in history. The city was a great place to start of my abroad trip and has a lot of art and architecture to offer. It is a more expensive city in Spain, which should be expected because it is the capital but the metro is cheap and you can still find places with cheap drinks and food. Expect a bustling city with people in the streets and lining restaurants and cafés. There are many famous masterpieces that are located in the Prado Museum. You can stroll through the city and still find so many activities!
