First, Hannah came Friday night so we just enjoyed some take out from my new favorite dim sum restaurant, One Dim Sum. The next day we had a full day in Macau where Hannah, Abbie, and I walked around all of Macau and then went to a pool party at Studio City. Macau is known as the Vegas of Asia and now I know why. There are so many casinos and clubs on the second island of Macau. The whole strip is just different hotels and casinos! We were also able to see Paris Hilton DJ, which surprisingly wasn't bad. My inner early 2000 self was screaming on the inside.
The next day Hannah and I attempted to do the Lion's Rock Hike. I found directions online and the climb from the mtr station to the entrance of the hike is no joke. We should have taken a taxi in all honesty. It was worse than the little bit of the actual hike that we did. Once we got to the hike, an ominous cloud came out of nowhere and it started raining so we just decided to turn around and get dinner at One Dim Sum again.
While I was at work Monday and Tuesday, Hannah visited the Big Buddha, the TST area, and the Ten Thousand Buddha Monastery. After work on Monday, I joined her to go up to the Peak and on Tuesday, we went to On Dog Dog Cafe (because I needed dogs in my life again) and Ladies Market.
I realized that there aren't many attractions in Hong Kong but lots of different areas that you should visit. Coming up with an itinerary for Hannah made me realize that. Although Hannah's visit was short, it was a lot of fun and I'm so happy that I once again got to see a familiar face from home. Just a couple more months till the States (and more importantly Chipotle)!
Just traveling the world and sharing my adventures and experiences.
