Amsterdam
A cosy city rich in tradition and an atmosphere that can't be described but should be experienced
My best friend since preschool studied abroad in a small town in France the same time I studied in Spain so naturally we ended up seeing each other in Amsterdam. The first thing I noticed about Amsterdam were the abundance of canals that run through the city. It was important that you know what canal you were strolling through so you don't get lost. Most of the canals look similar and are all lined with bicycles. This city has such a cosy and warm atmosphere about it with many things to do and see. There are many famous places such as the Anne Frank House, the Van Gogh Museum, and the Red Light District that you should check out. If you love Heineken, then this is the place for you because the Heineken Factory is located here as well. I couldn't see the Tulip Fields because I went in February when they obviously weren't in bloom so if you can, go to Amsterdam in the Spring/Summer!
